What drilling methods does the drilling rig have?
First, as far as the working principle of the drilling rig is concerned, there are mainly three drilling methods.
- The down-the-hole drilling method needs to be used in conjunction with an air compressor. it’s a good way to rock
- Mud pump rotary drilling is a more economical drilling method, ideal for soil, sand and clay formations, for rocks, the drilling speed is lower than submersible drilling.
- Using auger drilling, the drilling process does not require air compressors or mud pumps. However, it can only drill into soil, clay and sand.
Second, in terms of drilling technology, we have 2 drilling methods.
- Direct circulation drilling, where drilling fluid (air or mud) is passed through the drillpipe and cuttings are removed Through the space between the outside of the drill pipe and the hole wall.
- For reverse circulation drilling, double-walled drill pipe is required. Drilling fluid passes through the space between the inner wall of the outer tube and the outer wall of the inner tube. It is the most effective drilling method for cobblestone and sandy and earthy geological formations.
